National Nutrition Month 2023
National Nutrition Month® is an annual campaign created 50 years ago in 1973 by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. During the month of March, everyone is invited to learn about making informed food choices and developing healthful eating and physical activity habits
This year's theme is "Fuel for the Future." Eating with sustainability in mind is a tasty way to nourish ourselves during every phase of life and protect the environment. A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist can help you create healthy habits that are sustainable and celebrate your unique needs.

Christy Lecture - Lecture and Food Tasting
Join the CNYAND and Syracuse University for the Christy Lecture. This year we welcome Chef Danny Corsun for Edible Empowerment: Using Food as an Experiential Teaching Vehicle.

Syracuse St. Patrick's Day Parade

Cooking Party with the NY Beef Council
Free Virtual Nutrition Cooking Party & Social Savvy Media 101 with guest speakers: Christina Hitchcock and Allison Bower
Tuesday, March 21 2023 from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
The evening's presenters will begin with reviewing the benefits of beef in a plant-forward diet and Beef Cuts 101 while our keynote will provide an interactive cooking demonstration on how to execute cooking demonstrations on social media platforms. Then keynote speaker will offer expert advice on how to establish your social media presence and apply it in the nutrition landscape. A $25 gift card will be sent out to everyone who participates and completes the post-survey. If you are interested, please sign up by March 16, 2023.

Registered Dietitian Day
In 2023, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics celebrates Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day on Wednesday, March 8. As the nation's food and nutrition experts, registered dietitian nutritionists are committed to improving the health of their patients, clients and communities. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day and National Nutrition Month® promote the Academy and RDNs to the public and the media as the most valuable and credible source of timely, scientifically-based food and nutrition information.

DTR/NDTR Day
This year, we're celebrating the first Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered Day on Thursday, March 9. Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs) provide nutrition education and guidance to consumers about making healthy lifestyle choices, work in the public and private sectors creating and managing nutrition related programs, systems, and activities, and work with Registered Dietitians (RDs) to provide medical nutrition therapy to patients.
